GAS STATION TIPS
If at all possible try to purchase gas during daylight hours.
Never leave you car unlocked when unattended.
Before, during and after pumping gas, always look around and be aware.
Carry a cell phone with you.
If at all possible, try to have the exact change to avoid making trips back and forth to the cashier.
BUS STOP TIPS
Always keep a bus schedule with you.
Stand against the wall or glass.
Know where a pay phone is located
Carry a cell phone with you.
Sit directly behind the driver if at all possible.
Report all problems to the bus driver.
Keep a watchful eye on all of your belongings and packages.
Don't put valuables under your seat.
Don't unnecessarily expose your belongings to passengers.
SAFETY AT AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINES
Look at the general area. If you were a crook, where would you hide?
Park your vehicle in a well lit area.
Is the area around the machine well lit? If it isn't, notify bank personnel when possible.
Avoid using the automated teller machines during dark hours if possible.
Do not set valuables next to you.
If you are making a withdrawl. Place your money in your wallet or purse before you leave.
When conducting your bank transactions make sure no one is looking over your shoulder.
Do not allow someone to distract you.
Prior to standing in line, have your paperwork completed.
