A Case Against Hesitation

One of the problems is that we tend to hesitate to react to changing situations and environments until it is too late.    Though the bad guys have no hesitation what-so-ever in hurting another person, there is often a hesitancy for a person defending themselves to hurt another person.  This, unfortunately, give a distinct advantage to the bad guys.

Interesting, a study commissioned by the United States military found that only 35%of World War II frontline troops admitted to aiming their weapons at enemy soldiers, even while under fire themselves.  So, it's not just within the general popular that this problem has existed.  It is part of human nature and behavior.

A solution to solving this problem is to re-educate and re-program yourself in how you respond to a violent attack, or any attack for that matter.

First, you must consciously decide to fight back against an assailant.  This is a mental process as well as a physical process.  Fighting back might include yelling or screaming, being more assertive in the way you carry yourself  as well as physically defending yourself.
